You Hear that Series of Beeps...It's The Jets Season on Life Support

Now I don't really want to kick a team while they're down, but you know me I am going to do it anyway. It's a two horse race in the division between those pesky Buffalo Bills and my New England Patriots. There is nothing more enjoyable than beating the Jets, but honestly I don't think they are going to just curl up and die. Rex Ryan is a great motivator, knowledgeable coach and can rally his team. But the Jets best bet is to aim for the wild card. The Bills will fizzle out, they are just getting way too many breaks that won't be seeing later in the season.

Now as for the Patriots, an interesting statistic was brought to my attention today. The Patriots are 56-1 when they run the ball more than they pass. Brady has a career record of 101-27 so when Brady throws it more he is still a solid 45-26. The running game opens up options for Brady. The strike to Welker on the first place of the second half was because the Patriots established a running game early on. Safety Eric Smith bit on the play-action, Brady obviously sees it and hits Welker in stride.

In last year's playoff loss to the Jets, Brady tossed it 45 times and the Pats only rushed it 28 times. One of those times was a botched fake punt for a grand total of 1 yard.
