Florida Loves Their Panthers, huh?

Uhh, wrong logo there hun. Okay, so the Florida Panthers aren't the greatest franchise in the NHL. No they are not a powerhouse, in fact they are far from it. However, this was a team that put together a fairly impressive season this year, claimed the 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and currently have a 2-1 series lead on a very good Devils squad. However, I don't know what it is but the folks down in FLA just don't seem to just catch on to their sports teams at all and this picture just proves it. The news team didn't even know if they were talking about their pro hockey team, or their Florida International University Panthers. It's just comical and sad at the same time. The lack of support spans across the state. The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the verge of moving potentially where they basically blackout every home game, the Rays only get cow-bell crazy fans during the playoffs and when somebody goes to a Miami Marlins game, it turns into more of a social gathering as opposed to people cheering on the home team. It's sad. The Panthers may play in Sunrise, Florida sort of in the middle of nowhere but c'mon folks...
