Carl Hagelin Sends Off Text to Alfredsson, Still Gets Suspended

Clearly this was no heart-felt apology to Daniel Alfredsson at all. This 'sorry' text message was simply a way to try and prevent himself from getting suspended but in the end, Hagelin got bagged for 3-games. His season essentially could be over if the Senators manage to take the next 3 games. Is it going to happen? Probably not however I'd love to see it. Sportsmanship aside, is this literally the softest move in hockey? Hagelin just doesn't want himself getting targeted next game when (if) he faces the Sens again. He doesn't mean the apology at all. He doesn't care that Alfredsson is a seasoned veteran. He has no respect for the game obviously by hitting the face of franchise up high. Typical John Tortorella attitude rubbing off on his players. John, you won your cup a long time ago so take the fake hard approach facade off and just coach and stop acting like a lunatic. It's rubbing off on your players.
